This depth is typically 1600mm. Requiring enough internal clear floor space for a wheelchair to make a 180 turn accessible bathrooms must have either a 60 152 5 cm diameter turning circle or a t shaped turning space located within a 60 152 5 cm square with a minimum of 36 91 4 cm wide arms. Standard toilet cubicles are recommended to be between 800 950 wide with a typical depth of 1500 1600. Ambulant toilet cubicles must be between 900 920 wide with a minimum depth of toilet pan 900 circulation space to the inside of the toilet cubicle door.

See figure 1 for details. 17 19 require one standard 60 inch 1525mm wide toilet compartment. The location of the door is in front of the clear space and diagonal to the water closet with a maximum stile width of 4 inches 100 mm. Standard toilet stalls with a minimum depth of 56 in 1420 mm see figure here under shall have wall mounted water closets.

Overall bathroom sizes will vary based on the actual dimensions of bathroom fixtures. In a corner handicap stalls require a minimum of 60 x 60 compartment and is required with a minimum door size of 32 and the maximum size and more common is the 36 door. Partition stalls can have a minimum depth of 48 in most cases or up to 78 depth if needed. The minimum width of the stall is 60 inches 1525 mm.

Minimum 60 inch 1525mm diameter or t shaped turning spaces are also required as well as an accessible lavatory restroom accessories and access aisles that meet 2010 ada and 2009 icc ansi standards. Accessible stalls according to the ada should be a minimum of 60 inches wide and 56 inches deep if the toilets are mounted on the wall and there should be enough room within for a person in a wheelchair to move around unhindered. If the depth of a standard toilet stall is increased at least 3 in 75 mm then a floor mounted water closet may be used. That means you should consider anything that may be projecting from the walls.

See figure 2 for details. Standard toilet stalls are 36 wide by 60 depth. For commercial bathrooms with multiple toilet stalls and handicap the rules change a little. You want to make sure you are measuring exactly where the partitions will be placed because bathrooms are not always exactly square.
