This is something i believe mastodon has improved on with albums like leviathan and once more round the sun. Leviathan also features the band s cover versions thin lizzy s the emerald the melvins the bit and metallica s orion. I hate the never ending trend of noisy colored vinyl but i m still quite impressed by the sound.
